Bus Coordinator
Overview
The Bus Coordinator arranges for bus transportation from noon to past midnight on New Years Eve to allow First Night Chatham patrons safe and convenient
transportation from one venue to another, minimizing traffic and parking congestion.
Description of Responsibilities
The Bus Coordinator is the overall organizer and overseer of bus transportation for First Night Chatham. Responsibilities include:

Contact the dispatcher at the bus contractor in mid November to reserve four buses, one handicap equipped..

The Coordinator meets the buses at the beginning of their shifts (two at noon at Monomoy Middle School, one at the Rotary at 1:30 and one at the
rotary at 4:00).

At the start of each route, the Coordinator affixes two signs on each bus describing its route (eg., MONOMOY MIDDLE SCHOOL TO ROTARY),
gives the drivers a program that shows the route with a cell phone number for the driver to contact
the Coordinator, if necessary.

The Coordinator solicits an insurance certificate for liability coverage from the bus contractor and delivers it to the First Night Chatham Insurance Coordinator.

Anything left on a bus should be given to the Coordinator to be delivered to Lost and Found at First Night Chatham Headquarters.
