Get ready for an evening of dancing to the sounds of the Compaq Big Band with free dance lessons taught by Adam Spencer, Ballroom and Latin Dance Champion. He will be teaching Swing, Salsa, and Fox Trot on Saturday 12/27 from 1 – 5 PM at the Chatham Community Center. All ages welcome. See full details and lesson schedule on the Dance Lessons page.

Keb has been playing guitar for more than four years, and has been involved with the Cape Conservatory’s Jazz program. Keb’s music influences include Eric Johnson, Larry Carlton, George Benson, Jeff Beck and Keb Mo. Keb recently met and recorded with Keb Mo during a visit to Nashville. Dylan has been involved in the high school band, Jazz Band, and an independent songwriting study. He started on the flute in the third grade, and subsequently has studied the alto sax, tenor sax, and piano and keyboard. Dylan was first chair and first part on the Cape and islands for tenor sax in the Jr. Southeast Districts.

Line Dance Instruction: Pre-show & mid-show. Come early and learn a few steps and put them to use with the band during the show. Line Dance instruction from 8:00 to 8:30 prior to North Country’s performance, and during the band’s break starting at 9:30. Professional instructor Cathy Hatch will teach you the steps and the moves to keep your boots scootin’ across the dance floor all night.

Included in the program will be vocal renditions of Patti Page’s “Old Cape Cod” and Bobby Darin’s “Beyond the Sea” and “Mack the Knife”, featuring Antonia Stephens and JC Stahl. Choreographers Naomi Turner, Pamela Schickler, Emily Mower, and Joanne Sinerate are collaborating with accompanist Frank Toppa to create innovative new works.
Adam Spencer, a native of the U.K., is trained in Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Tap, Acting, Voice, and Aerial work, and has enjoyed a successful career touring and in film and television, both in Britain and the U.S.
