First Night Chatham is a family friendly, alcohol free New Year's Eve celebration focused on the arts. First Night celebrations are held in over 200 cities worldwide, but Chatham's is the only one on Cape Cod. First Night Chatham has become a wonderful way for people to come together and ring in the New Year in a safe, festive atmosphere. Since 1990, Chatham has enjoyed this celebration.

Centered on Main Street, First Night Chatham offers something for everyone – a circus, musicians, local artists, theater, opera, a giant bonfire, a clamorous noise parade, the Countdown Cod Drop, and a fantastic fireworks finale!

First Night Chatham is an all volunteer, non profit organization supported by you, our patrons. We receive no funds from Town government or the Chamber of Commerce.
